I think the point here is being missed. What happened was wrong, no matter what anyone was wearing. This could just as easily happened in the shower house at a campground, where women were dressing into perfectly modest clothing. If we wait until we agree with absolutely every aspect of a case to complain, we will be far too late.
First they came for a County Clerk-
But I said nothing because her denomination was wrong.
Then they came for the Church of Christ Duck Commander-
But I said nothing because the C of C's are heretics.
Then they came for Swimsuit wearing women-
But I said nothing because Swimsuits are wrong.
Finally they came for me-
And the precedent was already set with no one left to speak.
Well said!

it did not go unnoticed that you gave a very gracious reply to such a toxic response, thanks be to God for your kind and thoughtful reply.
I Thessalonians 1:3
Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
Thank you for your kind words and encouraging scripture.
God Bless You.

Not that you would misjudge,of course,Carol who is against haranguing "... what you and some others post is nothing more than a continual haranguing."
Any one actually want to address the post or are you all such avid pro sports fans that you are blind-sided?
Talk about idols!
I have to ask you Carol,if you're married, does it please you that your husband and children would look at such immodesty and carnality?
Do you think that are unfazed?
What about the children in this country that are bombarded ad nauseum with this junk? Don't you care? Are you a Christian?
Children shouldn't even know who Beyounce is.
Hi sc,
My husband and myself do not own a tv, go to movies, sporting events, drink alcohol, or participate in pagan festivals.
We do however have brethren in the Lord who do these things.
We are not their judge nor do we not fellowship with them because they do.
Please stop banging this tin drum, it is not honouring to the Lord nor conducive to holiness.
All of Gods best to you.

Among Christians we find differing degrees of light and spiritual experience, and what affects one adversely does not necessarily affect another in the same way.
In matters of conscience, each one must be guided by the Holy Spirit, so that he/she acts in the conviction of faith and in the confidence that they are pleasing God.
To bind the lives and consciences of others by ones personal convictions is neither scriptural nor spiritual; it is tyranny.
Let us avoid judging one another, and on the basis f Romans 14, let us maintain genuine Christian regard for one another whether we reach the same conclusion or not.

Thank-you sc for your remarks.
Not wishing to drag this on ad nauseam as I have seen it on here, go on for weeks.
I agree with: Common sense and sensitivity to God's Spirit.
Beyond that much of what you and some others post is nothing more than a continual haranguing.
Have a good day.

Someone zealously promoting holiness of life to the brethren is biblical..
Someone who beats the sheep continually about their own personal convictions of sports, holidays, alcohol , etc. Can come across as a busybody.
But thanks for your input.

Honestly we have to many folks on SA who want to push their own personal convictions on everyone else.
Touch not, taste not, handle not.
If folks are genuinely born from above they are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and He will convince or convict.
To many want o be His helper, and come across as busybodies.

So sorry to hear of your plight. Will be remembering you in prayer, as I'm sure others who read your post will be also praying. The Judge of all the earth will do right.

Will also add our prayers for those small gatherings of God's elect.
Some awesome time of God's presence and sweet fellowship is to be found in such.
All praise and glory to The Lord God.
"But now, O Lord, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all
are the work of thine hand".
"Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto our God.."
Amen!

What needs to be repented of by Christians is their apathy.
Jesus warned of being lukewarm!

Loved the Sermon and so true. We are looking for another church because our church has become so worldly and big. lots of entertainment. country club atmosphere.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Greatly encouraged and strengthened by the Lord after hearing this message. May the Lord continue to bless Pastor Fortner as he continues to preach God's Word in truth and in power by the Holy Spirit.
