The Failures of the Reformation
Dr. Alan Cairns

“ Great Sermon! ”
Very interesting sermon on the reformation and the strengths and weaknesses of the reformers and trying to understand the failures we see in the context. Will probably think differently about the reformers after this although my concern is their antisemitism. Thank you for a very interesting sermon.

“ Informative ”
The topic might deserve a further sequence about Wycliffe's struggles with the religious establishment and the protection from John of Gaunt, in the context vividly represented in some of Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales as The Pardoner's tale, The Wife of Bath’s Tale, or The Summoner's tale

When the ecclesiastical calendar highlights major events in the life of our Saviour it can only be a good thing to remember and meditate upon them. I applaud FFPC for celebrating the first day of the week that saw the Lord Jesus give Himself as the perfect and only sacrifice for the sins of His people.
In the U.K. we hear very little about Palm Sunday. May God bless your day and bring glory to the name of Jesus.

“ Great Sermon! ”
This is a very sobering message and at the same time very faith inspiring. My favourite line was - I don't believe that we just sit here and wait for the rapture God will do what he has always been doing - raising up men and women for Christ. Psalm 78

Without overlooking any good intentions behind evangelical practice, events like this signals the reliance of present churches on the ecclesiastical calendar

“ Great Sermon! ”
I had a very interesting hour listening to the history of England ( I had no idea about the history of the Anglo Saxon and Viking linage prior to this). Certainly a sermon on psalm 75 aimed at history buffs. Interesting

“ Great Sermon! ”
This was very precious teaching on prayer and pastor Alan hit the nail on the head - I so often spend a hurried 5 minutes with a shopping list for my father rather than luxuriating in an experience of praise and worship in his divine presence. Thank you for this it was very good teaching.

“ Outstanding Sermon! ”
I am forever grateful for this message. A heart-warming message of Love. I see God all over his Word. Thank you, Man of God, for another great exposition of the word of Life. Lord, though my heart is prone to wander please let me never wander far from your word or precepts. In your Love, keep your people close. In Jesus Name Amen.

“ Helpful teaching ”
Tying the arbitrary division of animals into clean and unclean to the doctrine of election was fascinating. It is God's choice not ours.

Rev. Mercer. I thank God for your life and ministry. I have been richly blessed since I have come in contact with God's messages through you. I appreciate your in-depth exposition of God's word and it has had a profound blessing upon my life beyond words. I am a young father that seeks to please God with my life and I need his directions daily. I thank God that you answered your call. I will love to sow financial seeds into your ministry and will appreciate any direction. God bless

Great truths taught in this sermon, by our sins He withdraws from His own people and yet it is out of Love so that they may turn back to Him in restored Fellowship. May the Lord add His Blessing

Again, I am eternally grateful to God for bringing me to his servant Rev Mercer. I have been greatly blessed by his unadulterated exposition of the Word of life. I feed on his messages daily and I have not seized being blessed. Praise be to God who is the doer of it all, who orders the steps of his people. Thank you Jesus
