Wonderful!!! I am so thankful for your sermon. So many things preached in this sermon that have been over looked in the Bible for centuries by so many and by myself I am sorry to say. I plead with God in my prayer that the Truth shall be made clear to his people both in the Church and in Israel! Thank you pastor! |

Upload error? I want to listen to this sermon, but I keep getting an error message. Other SermonAudio downloads are working, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Just a heads-up. |

Question In Regard to the Subject Brother Stephen mentioned the SDA teaches salvation by grace through faith, but as I've understood their doctrine of investigative judgement they actually believe in meritorious salvation by works (which is also why they're so legalistic). However, some (according to recent polls, less than 20%) do not believe this doctrine. As far as cults go, the SDA is very close to the bible, other than their pelagianism and judaising of the dietary laws (much like the RCC and their semi-pelagianism). It may be that their view is not as well defined as it could be and some of them hold more of an orthodox view of "works are a fruit, but not the root of salvation."
Thank you for doing this series, GFBC. |

Great Insight! From Dr. Harold Willmington:
Question: What kind of person is unable to pray the Lord’s prayer?
Answer:
If you don’t know Christ … you can’t pray, “Our Father.”
If you glorify yourself … you can’t pray, “Hallowed be Thy name.”
If you reject His rules … you can’t pray, “Thy kingdom come.”
If you won’t submit … you can’t pray, “Thy will be done.”
If your life is only for here and now … you can’t pray, “On earth as it is in heaven.”
If you are self-sufficient … you can’t pray, “Give us our daily bread.”
If you won’t forgive … you can’t pray, “Forgive us our debts.”
If you seek sin … you can’t pray, “Lead us not into temptation.”
If you are a friend of evil … you can’t pray, “Deliver us from evil.”
If you build your own kingdom … you can’t pray, “Thine is the kingdom.”
If you want power … you can’t pray, “Thine is the power.”
If you always take credit … you can’t pray, “Thine is the glory.”
And also:" we cannot make a final judgment concerning the salvation of any professing Christian, for only God knows those who truly belong to him. “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, the Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity” (2 Tim. 2:19)." |

"To those who believe that the universe is the result of the supposed big bang, where invisible particles somehow came into being and randomly organized themselves into atoms, molecules, stars, and planets, there would be no reason to expect that the earth’s temperature would be controlled within a specific range. That life exists at all should be considered exceedingly unlikely from this perspective. Stephen J. Gould, an evolutionist, put it this way, “We are here because one odd group of fishes had a peculiar fin anatomy that could transform into legs for terrestrial creatures; because the earth never froze entirely during an ice age; because a small and tenuous species, arising in Africa a quarter of a million years ago, has managed, so far, to survive by hook and by crook. We may yearn for a ‘higher’ answer—but none exists.”To those who believe that the heavens and the earth were designed and created by a “higher” power, there is ample reason to expect that earth’s temperature will remain in a range to support life. In fact, God gives us that promise in Genesis 8:22: Within this worldview it makes perfect sense that the earth would have a temperature control system just like our bodies do, since God designed them both."
