I would trust the SHround before I trusted the Wikipedia.
Remeber, this shroud could well be a real relic, not Catholic if it were truly 1st century. Like the ark of Noah or ark of the covenant, Our Lord will reveal them to His Glory, if need be!

If we look at the world around us, we'd see millions who do not view Christ as Lord and Savior. If that is a definition of Christianity at its core, shouldn't we who claim Christ not try to knock those who Christ would also call "brother"? I used to try to "correct" Catholics--but now I'm just glad they're on the side of Christ. The real issue, it would seem, is who lives like Christ, rather than merely talk about him.

fuzzy, your logic does not include all the good books, maybe older but definitely great books. Oswlk Chambers, Francis Schaffer, St. Augustine, CS Lewis, John Piper, John McArthur, etc.

Is theKJV, which I love using, the only Bible God can use to draw sinners unto Himself? Or does it always have the clearest, most historically correct interpretation of the original languages? Is it always the best version for a person to first learn aout the grace of Christ?
I had a KJV but not until I read the whole book of Romans in a TEV under the influence of the Holy Spirit, did I first come to see God's plan for me, His depth of purpose & the large horizon of His mission opportunities, did I begin to follow Jesus. I am just one but to worship the KJV is like Jesus' encounter with the Pharisees who worshiped the scripture over the Creator. Jn. 5:37-40

Amenare a dime a dozen. Many great "religions" have been started by men such as Joe Smith, Muhammed, H. Ron Hubbard, etc. But God only came to address through prophets, the written Word & finally in CHRIST, the Eternal Son, Savior, whose life was not religious but life eternal.

The Point is: What does the QURAN say??
It says give a little chance to the people of the Book, (Christians & Jews) & if they do not bow to Islam, kill them after the non-People of the book are executed. I know a lot of nice Muslims but that does not change the message of the Quran! IT is violent in the long run. Also a crude Doctrine of Man & no doctrine for Women.

And so it begins.... Now we will begin to hear basic elements of who is human & who is not, who is spiritual & who is not (except for Christians who ALL reflect hate. Let's go ahead & kill them all.) Then the brights will want to kill other religious groups until no one will remind them of their sin which will eventually bring eteranl death, as well as temporal death. Fasten your safety belts, it will be a bumpy ride!

how we come so far in the stupidity of Enlightenment philosophy that relativism (started by satan when he said "did God really say that?") will cause so many govt officials to hand their constitutions over to the Real infidels?? work while the day still is here!

The pastor set 4 jars of cigerettes, alcohol, chocolate & common soil in which he had placed a worm in each. He announced that the worms had died in the first 3 jars but not in the clean soil. What do you think this says to us as Christians? A voice from the back statee, "IF we smoke, drink & eat chocolate, we won't have worms!!
People, without the insight of the Holy Spirit, cannot see the truth before them or in the scriptures.
The scriptures say: "And Judas hung himself." Elsewhere it says, "Go ye & do likewise." Perhaps the Episcopalians & Presbyterians have read these scriptures also...without the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

I hope the Israeli Insider does a better job of researching this story thatn they did on the Barack brother story in which Barack's brother reportedly said that Barack was brought up a Muslim. Later the publication retracted their story when Barack's brother said he was mis quoted. Who was incorrect? hmmmmmmmmmm. Did Barack put pressure on his brother or did the paper try too hard to get a news story?

Jim, many of the churches in the first 3-4 centuries were home churches due to persecution... & that's a coming! Those who worship in many home churches have the Holy Spirit, not just the human sp.

unfortunatly, the Reformation churches do have a history of killing & harassing other reform or, at least, free churches that broke from RCC but did not meet the goals of Zwingli, etc. The reform fathers surely were bent for a more holy church bu t did wind up killing others that were leaving the RCC

I have seen harassing! This minister does not appear to be harassing unless you count using a loud voice due to the street noices, cities noises, etc.

Interesting that it is the younger, 2nd & 3rd world churches that have to tell the head of the church in England that he is a heretic.
