From his prison cell in Rome, the aged Apostle Paul wrote to his younger colleague, Timothy, and reflected on his gracious heritage in the testimonies of his mother and grandmother. The unfeigned faith of which Paul wrote is the sure product of the Holy Spirit's work in a soul. It was a faith rooted in the Holy Scriptures and that faith prepared Timothy to transmit the truth of the Gospel to succeeding generations. It provides a telling encouragement to mothers today who seek to raise their little ones for the Lord.
