Then, their bodies that are dead because of sin will be made alive by the power of the same Spirit Who raised Christ from the dead and Who indwells every believer as God's pledge that immortality is certain. Here is another reason for Christians to resist the temptations that arise from their mortal bodies, that is, in the language that follows this text, to mortify those bodies.
