In the midst of warning the disciples about the persecution they were certain to face in their service for Him, the Lord Jesus Christ addressed their fears about how they were going to manage to persevere. He used the illustration of two small bird, two sparrows, the value of which in the economy of Judea was very low. Yet, the Lord indicated that they could die and drop to the ground without God knowing about it. The Lord said that God rated the disciples as being far more valuable, and so He would look after their smallest needs and everything else as well.
