These two verses present an exposition of the importance of Trinitarian orthodoxy to the Gospel. All three persons of the Trinity are referenced and each of them is involved in the salvation of sinners. Without the Trinity, then, there is no Gospel. The Gospel message in these verses addresses the inability of the law to justify anyone, not because of any imperfection in the law but because of the weakness and sinfulness of our own flesh. Thankfully, that which the law could not do God did. This text provides a wonderful exposition as well of the glorious doctrine of the Incarnation and of the truth concerning the Person of Christ, fully God and fully man, yet without sin. God sent His own Son to be the offering for sin that was required to satisfy divine justice and to provide for the fulfillment of the righteousness of the law.
