Dr. Tim wrote:
Oh frabjous day! Alas! I say, when brethren carry on this way. They argue up, and argue down, and stew and fret and wear a frown. "All means this," says Jabberwock, but Woozle says "Yer head's a rock! All means that, not this, you nerd! That's the dumbest thing I've heard!" "If all means that, then what means this?" asks Jabberwock with scornful hiss. "You ought to know! I've told you so!" says Woozle, mutt'ring loud, then low. Then Heffalump, with insight keen, suggests the answer lies between Jabby's this and Woozle's that, and goes on paws as soft as cats'. But do they listen, these two birds? Not on your life! Nary a word that Heffy utters to his brothers, but's in one ear and out the other.
The wonderland ain't for everybody.

I suppose this is what one does when afraid of death and does not really understand what Christ has accomplished.
I don't know what I would do either at the time of confrontation that would possibly end my life. I say I am not afraid to die knowing I have no schedule of my own. I think I believe the following scriptures:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life (Jhn 5:24).
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me (Gal 2:20).
We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death (1Jo 3:14a).
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage (Heb 2:14, 15).

But to go to Gethsemane with guns is ludicrous.

This seemingly harmless bit of leaven is leavening the whole lump.

On what other issues has the church compromised? In my former church animals of many kinds were brought to church on Easter to be blessed by the pastor. Now it is voting on the issue of ordaining those who say that the Bible is fallible because God created gays but didn’t make it plain enough for them at the time of Sodom.
A little leaven makes it hard for our children to believe.
My grandchildren had tantrums because I wouldn’t allow them to dress up for the church Halloween party. They insisted on dressing up like biblical characters. Their parents still said, “No.”. The stress was really great for them.
A little leaven goes a long way when you justify opposing truth.

If we do away with Christmas, environmentalists will have to find another livelihood. Plastics won’t be such a great threat. Yada yada yada

They need to be born again.

Sermon:
Is Christmas Christian? Part I
Brian Schwertley

“ Cain Among Us ”
This is one of many very powerful messages of the truth about Christmas. How anyone can justify syncretism after learning about Cain and also knowing that it is rooted in paganism and also knowing Catholics created it and that Catholicism is against the sovereignty of God and his Christ and it is not biblical and it is nowhere mentioned as being acknowledged by anyone set apart to pen the inspired word God and it is strange fire because God did not ordain it as a means to invoke his presence is insane to say the least. Yet some pastors will not take counsel from the scripture nor the brethren. Pastor Schwertley has given facts about why we should not give it any attention; but seek to save those who have been entrapped by religious deceit. This is the same as offering the golden calf because God was taking too long visiting his people in the manner they thought. Yet we see that God has visited us in a manner we have not expected. He has withheld blessing and promised influence in a wicked world because there are many false prophets in the world; having the spirit of Cain. Its about them and not about the glory and honor of God who is holy.

Sound teaching about the grace that brings peace; all to the glory of God through Jesus, God's dear Son. It is all about God. Not about us.

Why promote it during that time when the wicked celebrate thealomg with the willful disobedient? What is it that we don't understand what God has endorsed as acceptable times of honoring him?

A book of this sort can be marketed any time of the year.

This is a pagan affair. Get it!?

“ Great Sermon! ”
This is one of the most transforming sermons I have heard since my conversion. It brings to mind how people celebrate a child's birthday when it had no part in being born. It should be the parent that is honored. Also, it makes me see how much we elevate a preacher above the work of the Holy Spirit who reveals everything about Christ. Christ must be all and in all. What marvelous teaching received by me and my friends this morning. Praise God from whom this blessing has lifted my soul in a most humbling way exalting him.
