Relative to the article in the embedded link:

--http://tinyurl.com/yc8sj2v3 ( Are evangelicals today more devoted to Trump and the Republicans than the gospel?)[/

“I have dear relatives who are Protestant and say they voted for Trump so they could get Vice President Mike Pence.

"These pious souls . . . reasoned that Pence will learn from his tenure and enhance his appeal as a future presidential candidate.

Either way, they deem Pence far more likely to advance a faith-friendly . . . Evangelicals obviously concur.

As much as racism raised its ugly head during the campaign, the Trump-Pence ticket's shrewd playing of the "God card" proved pivotal.”
Sarah S. Williams, Santa Barbara

Something else is proving pivotal. That is far more people see “evangelicals” as hypocritical now because of their position in the Charlottesville incident. They did not speak out! So now, many have left the church. Others don’t want to hear the Gospel.

This is all a trick to deceive adherents into believing Catholicism is the true church of God. Nothing has changed in centuries within this institution, and it won't now. The pope is not what you think as "humble".

This has happened over and over again to bring them "home. Nothing has changed. Nothing will.

Hatred surged against Christian during the Obama Presidency
Could this be because many within Christendom resent this president and denied that a sovereign God would put him in power?

In my denomination, UMC, a huge congregation, many showed resentment for him.

Worthwhile teaching. Legalism and grace are both matters of the heart. Who will we serve? Our man-pleasing self, or God? GRACE is all that matters.

Sure you are.
Now Connor, you do realise that those who are caught up in the KJVO-cultism speak a certain language, and they are recognised most easily by their accent and what they say?
The same is true of the anti-KJV-ists, they have their own accent and way of speaking, and they feed off of one another, just the same way as charismatics feed off of one another.
So to recognise what has happened to you is not that difficult.
And you too, as Lurker has already commented, will eventually deny the inspiration and infallibility of scripture. It is just a matter of time, if it has not already happened. You see, the people who you are hanging around with, spiritually, none of them claim that there is a Bible we can trust as the inspired, inerrant and infallible word of God. Already you are having to study various versions, in order to somehow get at the truth.
Now please be at peace, mark my words, and remember them from time to time, especially when you get fed up of the doubts being introduced into your mind by so-called scholars who are actually the enemy of faith.

You have be well admonished by John/UK.

We would see Jesus in scripture. It's him we seek.

Thank you JohnUK/Wales

Why is this “unbelievable”?

We have something far worse than that. Killing babies with widespread endorsements from all walks of life.

These attempts to destroy the image of God in man are well orchestrated. Now the church should refrain itself from tax-exempt status so that there would be no government intrusion upon its rights of refusal.

If I recall, several years ago, the public schools denied religious institutions their rights to hold events in their facilities. THIS IS TYRANNY.

To the church I say PAY YOUR TAXES!

This pastor gives the best illustration as to the Law's ineffectiveness in producing righteousness. The Law does not produce life. We see all the more clearly why Jesus is precious to have delivered us from this present evil world. And, there's more to come. Thank you pastor Russ.

I meant to show my agreement with Tim’s post on the Theresa May article, by stating ‘Amen.”

I didn't listen to the sermon. But Yes. The pope is our enemy if he claims to be the head of the church which was purchased with God's own blood.

Sermon:
Defecting from the Gospel
Pastor Russ

“ Great Sermon! ”
It seems that most pastors fail in equipping the saints with the one thing that matters. That is the Gospel. Error also creeps in because many in the pews are not saved and possiblyfollowing a man in the pulpit, or looking for friendships among ill informed churchgoers. I have found that many are satisfied in being saved only. This message should convert any listener that tolerates false teaching and simply brushes off that small ember of false doctrine without exerting any effort of putting it out altogether. Always with meekness and love. This is certainly a stirring sermon. I thank God for leading me to pastor Russ' sermons.

“ Thus Sayeth Scripture ”
More and more I am seeing how we demand others to perform in their flesh. We seem to want to see or know how they are living, according to the law, instead of seeing them through the eyes of grace. Many of the threads indicate that we are not committing the brethren to the word of God's grace.

Not Seeing Sin in Ourselves
Pastor Clarence Simmons

“ Great Sermon! ”
Faye/Annapolis, MD You are not allowed to us all caps. At least this is the message I get when I try to use caps. “ THE COURAGE TO CONFRONT! ” God emboldens some to speak truth to power. For David, it was Nathan. Nobody is above God's Law, not even "the apple of God's eye" (Psalm 17:8). This sermon is filled with strong meat, requiring much chewing and digesting -- a meal not for the slothful! Thank you, Pastor Simmons, for your labor in the preparing and presenting of it. A job well done
