Hey Phoebe! I prefer the basic standards found in Scripture - being kind and peaceable - not argumentative and preferring others before ourselves.

Have a great evening!

Hi Phoebe, I was trying to be polite and that is why I thanked you for commenting. No, this isn't my website, but I've noticed a lack of manners among some participants and thought perhaps I should try to be more cordial when commenting.
I assumed you are a Christian and that is why I referred to the Lord as "our Lord."
No I don't recommend Rick Warren to Alyhandra (or anyone for that matter).

Hi Phoebe, Thanks for your interest in this topic and the things of our Lord... But perhaps Alyhandro simply wanted an opinion of those who frequent this website. Also, not all Christians share the same views on eschatology; history shows that there have always been false teachers in the church.
Regarding SteveR's comment - I'm still trying to figure out the point he's trying to make. Thanks.

Thanks Jim... I read the article and thought perhaps the book was meant as sarcasm? But sadly I think the author is being sincere.

Swoboda needs to grow up... This reminds me of a child who doesn't want to make his bed in the morning. Whatever happened to God being orderly and Christians striving to live disciplined lives? One can just take a look at the stars and planets or creation in general to see that God is not disorderly.

I think the concern with Rick Warren is that the Gospel may not central to the church he began; the theology is shallow and emphasis is placed on man's efforts instead of what Christ has accomplished on the cross... The church becomes a club for folks to join...Hard teachings of Scripture are avoided so as not to offend others. Or at least this is what I experienced at a church that follows Rick Warren's advice.

On Jim's behalf, I would like to share an insightful article on the lack of prenatal health care and what a Biblical response to it is: http://americanvision.org/6197/a-biblical-solution-to-the-maternity-care-crisis-and-much-more/ . I think a lack of good prenatal care and more abortions do go hand-in-hand and Christians can benefit from reading this article. I don't want to sound hardened, but I remember hearing from a "conservative" man years ago that he really didn't want abortion outlawed because of the blacks reproducing. Of course I was outraged and gave him a piece of my mind that he did not forget; years later I saw the man and he apologized.

Thanks for the list, Frank! I had no idea all these companies supported same sex marriage... I suppose all one can do is try to avoid using their products and services. As I said earlier, the less I shop, the more money my husband and I will save.

Scratch Target off my list of places to shop... My husband and I are saving money as I try not to support or contribute to those promoting/marketing homosexuality as being "normal" and a desirable way to live.

I am not advocating boycotting sinners, but I do advocate not funding their promotion of sin and what God calls an abomination. If you truly love your neighbor, why not confront their sin (as in a boycott) and tell them what God thinks about it? Then you can share the "Good News" about Christ with them. You can't just preach grace at them - the liberal apostate churches do this - they need to know about God's Law and justice first!

I think they are hoping that if everyone accepts their sin they won't feel so ashamed about it. I am wondering if they have too much time on their hands as it appears they purposely look for Christian businesses to approach and then scream "boycott" if the business won't bow the knee to their perversion. Also, why aren't Christians as zealous to boycott businesses that are pushing the 'gay" agenda? Don't Christians care enough to boycott?

Dear West Highland,
I did not know the CI was unitarian or friendly toward it... I have two news blogs and try to be discerning when posting news items and their sources. I understand your comments much better now and appreciate the warning about CI.
Thanks!

Please explain what you mean by: "The 'Crown Rights of Jesus Christ' are being publicly usurped! Do you care?"
I am in the united States where the Founding Fathers omitted Jesus Christ from our Constitution... But regardless, the Lord reigns over all even when the nations do not acknowledge Him. If you are in Scotland, then you have much more to be offended of since your Forefathers swore to and signed the Solemn League and Covenant. We have a plethora of para-church organizations in America and I understand one's frustration with a lack of Gospel clarity and worldliness that these groups often mingle with their "ministries"... Hope this helps explain my position and my "American" Christian viewpoint. Oh, and in answer to your question - Yes! I do care! or else I wouldn't keep beating my head against the secular brick wall in America.

As one who has long been sharing the Gospel in the public and advocating for the Crown Rights of Jesus Christ, I agree with Mr. Hranek. Apparently there is some sort of disagreement with the source of this news article that I am not aware of and don't want to get involved with. I still see value in sharing this news and appreciate the fact that some girls are speaking against fornication among children to the mainstream media.

I was not backhanding an antibiblical slur as I am also a Christian. I couldn't think of the correct word and used "holy" when perhaps I should have used "heavenly" instead. My point is that if one is going to use Biblical principles when dealing with the world, then we must be willing to be helpful even to those who do not have a clue as to what Scripture says - as in the example of the Good Samaritan. If you have a bone to pick with the Christian Institute, then I certainly don't want to get in the middle... But my impression of the article is that even the immoral youth in Scotland can see the wisdom of God's truth that one should remain pure and preserve their virginity until marriage. This is a message we should all seek to share with others.

I reposted this article at my pro-life blog because a teen might read it and reconsider giving her virginity away to a boy or young man who is telling her he loves her and is pressuring her for sex. If this article causes a youth to reconsider taking such a dramatic and life changing step as giving away their virginity, then it has great value. To West Highland White Terror - Let's not get so "holy" minded that we are of not much use on this earth.

Well, I am in process of getting away from Google... I think the good Lord will deal with them and I am leaving their sinking ship. However, I've been on Blogger since 2005, so it might take me a while to get my stuff moved.

Praise the LORD! Thanks! Yes, I am exploring WordPress and creating a new blog there: http://4christcrowncovenant.wordpress.com/
I hope to eventually move all my blogs at Blogger to a new host. Google is just too political for me.

Can anyone recommend a blog host other than Blogger which is owned by Google? Thanks.

Very disturbing news... I no longer use Google as a search engine, but still have a Google+ account and several blogs posted at blogger (owned by Google). I guess I'll prepare to move them to another blog host.
