Ladybug wrote: Being divorced from sin isn't what saves...trusting in what Christ has done is what saves. Repenting of dead works, thinking anything you do will save you. You must be clothed in His righteousness 👍Amen and Amen📢 |

Ladybug wrote: Yep. Dead works include anything a sinner thinks they do to get saved. God granted the Gentiles repentance from their dead works as well, anything somebody relies on to get right with God is a dead work. Any self righteous act they perform, anything they think earns merit with God. Look at some people's testimony, they always talk about themselves 'i no longer do this, or that' as though God looks to their works as acceptable for salvation. God only sees the finished work of His Son as propitiation for the sins of the elect. False religion points you to 'self'. That's why I posted the latter half of 2 Timothy 2:25, if God peradventure will give them repentance to the👉 acknowledging of the truth👈. You (in general) haven't truly repented until God has brought you to this understanding. Please consider listening to or reading Randy Wages sermon entitled initial repentance. https://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=624191248191580 |
