Great Sermon! I found the statements about where we would be in 2020 almost prophetic. They being after the 1:30 mark.
A great blessing of a series!
Great Sermon! I love this straightforward “old time”Christianity!!! Only through our confession of the Lordship of Christ over our lives do we find salvation!!! And to think this sermon was delivered in 2000, and that Dr. Cairns died just months ago. What a gift to the world his preaching was/is!!!
Great Sermon! Thank you for this sermon. You are a faithful minister. I like how you explained the gospel. The law is powerless to change us. It is only the gospel that does that. You comments on perfectionism were very good too. We sin even when we are really doing anything. Our whole nature is corrupt. Thank you again for doing this sermon!
Great Sermon! Perfect diagnosis on today’s western Christianity, counts it normal to be among thorns. Grieving the Holy Spirit.
Mar 4:18-19 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
God help us all!
Great truth. It is very true: sermons of great preachers on SermonAudio cannot take the place of personal prayer life. It is one thing to hear about the profound spiritual lives of others, and other to have you such a profound spiritual life. Spiritual life does not end with listening to a good sermon, but starts with it. After hearing must come practicing.
Great Reminder! I am praying that our holy and righteous God will by his spirit give us a healthy, effecatious fear of him. He is worthy of all honor and glory and is to be praised. May he keep our hearts from departing from his truth. It seems easier for me to be a puppet because the more I get to know his will the more evil is present in my flesh. There is nothing like struggling to let this passing world and the entrapments of our OSN go once and for all. We need others so desparately for edification and strength in the Lord. Thank God for our precious Lord and Savior who will finish what I did not and could not begin.
Great Sermon! If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:13-14
A challenge The beneficial challenge of this sermon is the realization the preacher brings, that behind every conflict we face there is a satanic confrontation demanding faith in the living God.
