Solomon knew that the fear of God is that which divides the wise from the fools. He understood that there are not two Gods in the Bible or even two versions of the same God. He knew the truth that it is the holy and reverent awe at the thought of being before God that leads to a true knowledge of God, and that the greater that knowledge, the greater will be that fear. It is the fear of God that is the leading indicator of the work of God's Spirit in the soul of any sinner.
