“ Great Sermon! Two Thimbs UP!! ”
Thank you so much. You have indeed refuted dispensationalism in a clear manner. I feel more confident in standing firm against (in a loving way of coarse) this strange teaching. There are many, many Christians that hold to this view...just go to a Bible study or Sunday school..they are there!!

“ Great Overview of the Irvingite Doctrine ”
The Dispensational doctrine came from a book written by a Jesuit priest named Manuel Lacunza and Edward Irving’s English translation published in 1827. It was first taught by Edward Irving at the Albury Conferences. Lacunza’s book “Coming of Messiah in Glory and Majesty“ is available at… http://www.regal-network. com/dispensationalism/pdfs.htm Read pages 301, 338, 349 According to early members of the Plymouth Brethren, during 1830 a teenage girl named Margaret Macdonald reported a “vision” of a pretribulation gathering of believers. She wrote a letter to Irving reporting the details of her vision. The text of her “vision” is available from various sources. The Irvingites published the concept of a pretribulation gathering within the September 1830 edition of their publication known as, “The Morning Watch”. Verification is available at… http://www.answersinrevelation .org/pretrib_history.pdf http://www.daniels70weeks.com Read this and page 301 of Lacunza’s book. There you will find the genesis of the antichrist and the rebuilt temple in Dan. 9:27. http://www.answersinr evelation.org/Jeffrey.pdf Shows revision of early Church viewpoint.

“ Great topic!!! ”
I am so happy that someone is speaking out against this doctrine that is destroying the churches today. I look forward to the rest of the series.

“ Great introduction. ”
Very good introduction to dispendationalism, to the teaching of Darby, to this teaching which imposes a strange system to the Bible, which breakes the unity between OT and NT.

“ Great Sermon! ”
I so appreciate your great and timely message. I am a Free Will Baptist Pastor and I through study of the scripture understand Salvation always has and always will be By Grace through Faith both in O.T and new.

“ Thr Truth Shall Set You Free! ”
As a former Pentecostal who grew up on Hal Lyndsey,Grant Jeffrey and a host of other false prophets and false teachers, it is absolutely refreshing to hear the truths in this 10 part series. I would very highly recommend these sermons as well as those of Gary Demar found on sermonaudio.

“ Couldn't agree more Michael!! ”
Terry E from Maryland......where did you get your information on Scofield? I would very much like to read it. I know his so called study Bible is a joke, but just wondered where you got your info on him personally. Thanks, PLW from Mo.

“ Much -needed refutation ”
A very much needed refutation of a system which is entirely heretical. Falsely dividing the word of truth as Dispensationalists have consistently done has caused serious damage to the sanctity of the Lord's Holy Day, among other things.

“ more like, 'Dispensationalism Defended' ”
Matt: 8:29 the demons asked, are you come to torment us before the time? Mk. 1:15 The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of god is at hand... Mk. 10:30 But he shall receive an hundred fold now in this time,... and in the aiwnios/world to come eternal life. Lk. 12:56 ...how is it that ye cannot discern this time? Lk. 19:44 ...because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation. Ro. 5:6 ...in due time Christ died for the ungodly 1 Cor. 4:5 ... judge nothing before the time... 2 Cor. 6:2 ...I have heard thee in the time accepted...now is the accepted time...now is the day of salvation. Gal. 4:4 But when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth his Son... 2Pet.1:21 propoesy came not in old time by the will of man... The scripture is full of references to times/days/ages. God has done different things to accomplish stages in His plan. Dispensationalism is not the horse or the cart; it is the shelving that sorts and organizes. It is very true that some promises, warnings, and prophesys (Thank the LORD), ie. the tribulation, the rapture, the Kingdom, the seats around the throne, the 144K, do not apply to all, and we do need to rightly divide the word of truth. Thank the Lord for the ability to discern truth. Dispensationalism is a biblical, doctrinal reality.

“ Great Sermon! ”
I listened to Dr. Barrett's sermon. I agree that this is a system of theology thrust on Christianity in the early 1900s, adopted by fundamentalists, but that not all fundamentalists subscribe to it. I certainly don't. I'm aware of C.I. Scofield's "resume," and I wouldn't touch his Scofield Bible. He was a forger, deserted his wife and three little daughters, sent them a forged deed and mortgage to nonexistant land, bilked his own mother-in-law of her life savings, never supported his family with one penny of money even though he was raking in money off his Scofield Bibles. He claimed nonexistant theological degrees, pastored big churches after his conversion in jail by a bunch of lady missionaries, married one of them. Hooked up with DL Moody and wrote all his notes using Darby's stuff and didn't give one bit of credit -- also used the work of another man named, no credit given there either. Used prominent theologians to edit subsequent editions and gain more respectability. People use his Bible, read the footnotes and believe them as though they were scripture. Darby got most of his ideas from the Irvingites and a young teenage girl named Margaret McDonald. Because of Scofield, people only read Paul's epistles, think Gospels should be avoided, and are ignorant of OT.

“ Insightful and well reasoned ”
Dr. Barrett has become one of my favorite preachers on this web site. His comments are insightful and well reasoned. I also appreciate his sound theology and Biblical stance.
