The Lord's people have always faced the reality of spiritual warfare. The believers in Thyatira were no exception. The words of the Lord Jesus Christ to them were that they needed to maintain what they had been given through the grace of God. They needed to hold on to the truth, even though the atmosphere around them was marked by declension and darkness. This perseverance is the key to the church's victory. Christ's work is going on and His people need to be stedfast in the warfare.
