SERMON INFO
For sixteen years there had been no song in the Temple of Israel. Then one day something wonderful took place. Early in the morning king Hezekiah and the rulers of the city went up to the temple; the Levites accompanied them with their harps; the priests were there with their trumpets; there was also a great choir of trained singers. And - suddenly - (records God’s Word), “When the burnt offering began” ... the trumpets blew, and the harpers began to play with mighty volume on their strings, and the voices of the temple singers resounded throughout the building, the house of the Lord was filled with ‘hallelujah music.’

It was almost a mirror-image of the scene the child is God is going to experience one day when those high courts of heaven erupt with the eternal ‘Hallelujah Chorus.’

That event changed the course of a nation. It brought to an end sixteen years of sadness and songlessness.

Too often we lose our song. This passage outlines how we can get it back!
