On 23rd June 2016 the United Kingdom has a once in a lifetime opportunity to leave the European Union. The arguments for and against leaving are being propagated with intensity but the most important reason has been largely overlooked, namely the Biblical perspective.
Prophetic scripture charts the course of nations that occupy the Roman earth, the terriority controlled over by the last great empire depicted in Nebuchadnezzar's vision (Daniel 2). Scripture prophesies of the political, economic and religious developments among these nations that surround the great sea, resulting in a union formed not by military conquest, but by consent. However, it will be a union without the blessing of God, a union that will oppose God and His anointed and will ultimately encounter divine judgment. Britain's referendum vote is an opportunity to escape that judgment. |
