Paul's message was a triumphant cry of Victory in Jesus!
God's people can celebrate Glorious Freedom ...
1. THE ARRIVAL OF THIS GLORIOUS FREEDOM!
The child of God has been (a) DELIVERED FROM A LOST CONDITION (under “the power of darkness” – a condition in which we were:
• Dead in our Sins; • Separated from God by our Sins; • Children of the Devil; • Doomed to Hell.
We have been (b) DELIVERED INTO A LIBERATED CONDITION.
This Deliverance is Instant, Powerful and Eternal.
2. THE AVENUE FOR THIS GLORIOUS FREEDOM!
• Great was the bondage in which we sinners were naturally held, so great was the price that had to be paid to set us free! • Mighty was the enemy who claimed us as his captives, so mighty power was needed to release us out of his hands!
But ... there was enough grace, and enough power available in Jesus Christ! He provided everything that was required to set His people free. The price He paid for His people was nothing less than His own lifeblood.
3. THE APPRECIATION OF THIS GLORIOUS FREEDOM!
The best way to celebrate our Glorious Freedom in Christ is to:
(a) PROTECT IT! Stand fast in our freedom, against all contrary forces.
(b) PROCLAIM IT! If we have tasted the blessings of freedom, let us spare no pains to introduce others to Christ's freedom.
