I don’t blame these men for going fishing. They were willing to use their time and ready to provide food for themselves until the Lord came through.
And the Lord did come through. That is the exciting thing about this incident. See v1 “The Lord showed himself again.” My friend, this is our hope for the Lord’s church. This was after the resurrection. Indeed this was the last miracle Jesus did here on earth. It is very enlightening and full of meaning for us.
The hope of Christian work and church ministry is that the Lord will show himself again. There may have been days of darkness and trouble and empty nets, but in grace the Lord may return to His people and even use failures. That’s what I see here. The Lord has the answer for failures, for He is the answer, When He shows himself.
