The national trend toward the decriminalization and ultimate legalization of dangerous drugs, seen especially in so-called medical marijuana ballot initiatives, should arouse the opposition of the people of God. The Scriptures are adamant in opposing that which poisons society with intoxicating substances and in urging governments to fulfill their God-given duty to be a terror to evil. This message urges the people of God to let the voice of truth be heard in the public debate.
