The good work done by Abraham in his day was undone by the enemies of Israel. By God's grace, his son Isaac set about the task of digging again those wells stopped up by that apostate Philistine race. The Biblical record here in Genesis 26 has its parallel in our own day. The precious "wells" stopped up, and filled with "earth" by the modern-day Philistines of apostasy and compromise, must be digged again by God's true servants. Let the church set about this great task of digging wells of living water!
