SERMON INFO
The effort by the followers of Jacob Arminius to subvert the evangelical thrust of the Protestant Reformation led to the calling of one of the most important Protestant gatherings early in the 17th Century in Holland. The Synod's response to the five points of Arminianism served to codify further the system of doctrine known as Reformed theology.

“ Great Sermon! ”
For any young Christian who wants to learn about the great battle fought by to preserve the truths, rediscovered at the Reformation, this lecture is a must. Rev Mook shows clearly the need for the truths proclaimed by the synod of dort to be proclaimed from every pulpit, that up and coming renerations will not be mislead by the errors of arminianism with its emphasis on the false notion that men are saved by exercising what they call "free will." Over against the truth that salvation is the free gift of God's grace alone. Man's will is in bondage through the fall of our first parents in the garden. Man's will is "free" only to sin, and he has no ability to change his state.
