He gave God the glory for who he was and what he was and for what God had done through his life. Paul's statement “I am what I am by the grace of God” (1Cor. 15:10) has to stand out in our minds as we ponder over this life of Paul. Paul renounced his fleshly heritage as a benefit for salvation. However, Paul built on his earthly standing for Christian Service. God's grace took that raw material, the practical life of Saul of Tarsus and made him a model of God's transforming grace. In this sermon we see how through the gospel God transforms the raw material of sinful men and uses it for His glory.
