What a prize! To win that wonderful, gracious and loving Saviour. What else is there in life? What more does one need? To have Him is to possess all. Men strive to win fame, to win recognition and popularity, to gain pleasure and satisfaction, to obtain comforts merely or to be rewarded with knowledge. But Paul only wishes to have Jesus Christ. It was his one object and his chief desire. He was a wise man. Seek after Christ. Seek Him alone. Settle not for anything short of Jesus Christ, but rest in Him, in His person, in His arms, in His fellowship, in the light of His countenance; and rest not until He is won and in your possession.
