O blessed Spirit, Holy Breath,
Please intercede thro' me;
O cleanse and fill me, use me now,

As Christ on earth hath wept for men
And felt their agony,

With groanings pray thro' me:
That praying in the will of God,

That glory may be brought to Christ;
