“The United Methodist Church … voted to maintain bans on same-sex weddings and ordination of gay clergy.
… if formally approved, could drive supporters of LGBT inclusion to leave America's second-largest Protestant denomination.

LET THEM LEAVE!!!!

Sam Hill[/AUTHOR]asks,

...how many ... countries... have embassies in Jerusalem."

“Of the 158 countries that maintain diplomatic relations with Israel, just two — the United States and Guatemala — have established embassies in Jerusalem, the city that Israel considers its capital. 86 others have embassies in Tel Aviv, of which only a handful have said they would consider relocating their mission.”
Most of the countries with consulates-general in Jerusalem have separate embassies in Tel Aviv that are accredited to Israel: Belgium, in East Jerusalem; France, Consulate General of France in West Jerusalem; Greece, in West Jerusalem (listed under "Israel" on Ministry of Foreign Affairs website)” Google

I meant to say that appx. 430 AFTER the promise was given to Abraham, which stiff-necked did not embrace, laws were given to them to bring them to Christ.

About sacrifices. They will never return to them. It is an impossibility for many reasons you'll have to think about.

They need not waiver but be certain that those in Israel and elsewhere proclaiming to be “God’s people” are not God’s people. God does not have two peoples. Abraham was given a promise that flows down to God’s people of likewise faith.

There were Judaizers before Paul’s day. Not all Judaizers were/are Jews. They are responsible for the book of Esther and the Aprocrypha. Examine closely the criteria used for including or excluding books from the Canon. Somehow an exception is made for Esther. The same exception is made for today’s middle-eastern Israel. But there is no BLOOD of any kind. There are no feasts, etc. Some say “they’ll come back to fulfilling God’s requirement, even though Jesus sat down after finishing redemption’s work. (Personally, I do not believe 66 books were of the canon.)

Every person of every kindred has to present BLOOD to be of God.

430 years before Christ, stiff-necked “Jews” were given a law to bring them to the same faith believers share with Abraham. But they are proud still and deceived even more by many who will not tell them the same thing Jesus told them. “If you do not believe that I am he, you will die in your sins.”

Israel wants only the land and power. They do not want to perform the OT requirements of them.

Good! However, individuals must first be joined to the Lord. Church membership follows.

Too many people have joined churches without being in Christ. "The Church is one NEW man."

This could all boil down to the fact that people need Christ and not therapy conjured up by man. Pride is at the root of it all.

We are saved from these things by the washing of regeneration of the Holy Spirit.

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. ... Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults (Psa 19:7-9, 12)

“ Only Source of Truth ”
Well spoken, pastor Lyle.; that even those who preach Christ do not preach CHRIST CRUCIFIED. Therefore, man is kept in bondage to sin, or works of some type. Thank you, pastor Lyle, for submitting to the Word of God which is our only source of truth.

“ Great Sermon! ”
The songwriter William R. Newell penned these words: "Years I spent in vanity and pride; caring not my Lord was crucified. Knowing not it was for me he died At Calvary. Without understanding the accomplishments of Christ the Christian life is drudgery at best. I sat in the pews most of my "Christian" life without knowing who Christ is and his accomplishments. My life showed it. Thank you pastor Mioni. You've done well bringing truth to our hearts.

The Law and the Gospel

“ Great Sermon! ”
Righteousness reigns through grace. So why do Christians continue to judge another man's servant? As do many posters here at SA. Why are we finding so much fault with the natural man? How can we continue to be surprised at them stumbling in the dark? We stumbled also. Now we have the Light they need. We know what is right and Who is righteous. We have no righteousness of our own. It is by God's grace that we are saved. And, that to the uttermost. Praise him! Praise him again and again! What the Law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh (We failed in all of its aspects.), Christ did. This is why he cried out "It is FINISHED!"

“ Great Sermon! ”
My previous comment was not inferring that Michael Barrett was stereotyping ethnic Jews, but Asher Norman, the author in discussion. Asher is stereotyping. I gets worse with cogs in my declining cognition.

“ Great Sermon! ”
This is stereotyping to say that "Jews don't believe in Jesus." He cannot do this for the ethnic, natural, Jew nor the spiritual Jew. He could just as easily say, '... Italians don't believe in Jesus." God has circumcised the hearts of people of every ethnicity. He has made one new man of every people and of every kindred and tongue. His assumption is based on total ignorance.

“ Great Sermon! Great Teaching ”
I am so glad to have found you pastor Viggiano. It says you are a "new" contributor to SA. However, I have to say that you are rich and mature in the word of God. It seems that you have been in the faith for quite some time. Nothing new about the way you're handling truth. Thank you for providing simple truth, via your sermons and PDFs, to the Body of Christ.

I love hearing you as well. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for your kindness and you contribution. This is a good way of routing and grounding us in the faith.

“ Necessary Exhortation! ”
In this sermon “The Doctrine of Excommunication (3), Dr. Hal Brunson has brought out how sin is to be dealt with within the Body of Christ and what happens when left unchecked. Those aware of sin with our ranks are not immune to sin’s subtle infection. Whether inside or outside the church, sin has a way of progressing “from the stage of tolerance, to acceptance, to contagion …” (Albert N. Martin). Martin has also pointed out sin’s impact upon society as a whole in his sermon “Our Nation’s Sexual Sins (3)”. Have we become complacent and negligent of our reasonable service unto the God who has been both merciful and gracious to us? Sin is added to sin when not dealt with.
