“ Great Sermon! ” Well done! My soul is rejoicing! Death has no sting for those whose sins have been forgiven through Christ’s death (and that truth is proved by His resurrection). I really like the picture of death as a schoolyard bully who cannot frighten us because we have a big brother who protects us.
“ Great Sermon! ” Very good counsel. We become discouraged when we listen to ourselves, rather than to God’s word. And also when we become impatient during trials that linger. We then make irrational decisions and suffer the consequences.
“ Great Sermon! ” The pastor presents many excellent points about unbelief, including the fact that unbelief is so harmful to us, by keeping us from getting a good night’s sleep, etc. And that unbelief is very infectious. We all need to listen to these truths and ask God to forgive us and help us to conquer unbelief in our daily lives.
“ Great Sermon! ” Amen! Jesus came to give us true joy, not what the world considers happiness. And celebrating the Lord’s Day every week is a big part of our joy, or should be.

“ Excellent ” Excellent sermon on suicide among young people. He covered so many important reasons why so many young people kill themselves. And what we can do to help.
When he questioned a teenager in his church who was obviously very disturbed, the young man said that he might kill his entire family. This sermon is 18 years old. I think by now we all know that we should immediately report any such information to the police. I’m writing this two days after a woman killed three children and three adults at a Christian school in Nashville. She herself was then killed by police. A lot of times, it seems like part of the motivation for mass shootings is a desire in the shooter’s heart to die himself. So suicidal thoughts can sometimes end up in the deaths of others as well. Let’s not be afraid to give important information to authorities when it could be a matter of life and death.
“ Good devotional ” Thank you for being faithful by speaking about the US and all of the abortions we have committed as a nation, and the fact that in this practice, we are similar to the pagan nations that God ordered the Israelites to destroy.
“ God’s amazing ways! ” This interview was broadcast 8 months ago. I can’t believe there are no comments from listeners. This is an extraordinary account of God’s powerful ways of carrying out His amazing
plans. I hope more people will listen to it and comment on it. There’s a part 2 also that is just as good.
“ Great Sermon! ” Wonderful sermon. The facts are very sad, but the Lord God Almighty is sovereign over all. We, His people, must do our part to spread the gospel, to adopt or foster or help families who adopt or foster, etc. Thank you for this good exhortation and encouragement.
“ Amazing sermon! ” I too have heard many sermons on this parable, but I’ve never heard half of what is in this sermon. To name just one, the explanation of the culture of shame and honor at that time was very enlightening.
Dr. MacArthur’s ending for the incomplete story was absolutely shocking! But of course, it was and is the truth. We get comfortable with the gospel sometimes, and we forget how shocking it is.
