the man of sin identified surely this passage refers to a person and as Richard Bennett states 'The purpose and intent of the Man of Sin is given also in the second name, “son of perdition.” The reference is to Judas, who pretended to be a disciple of Christ even as he betrayed the Son of Man with a sign of love and loyalty. The Son of Perdition is a secret enemy while a seeming friend, a well-known confidant, yet a fatal foe who betrays with a kiss even while he says he serves the Lord and Master. He is a Judas whose coming was to be “after the working of Satan,” with “lying wonders.” Those under him are under the influence of “strong delusion.” For their own part, they had “not received the love of the truth,” but rather took “pleasure in unrighteousness.” In a denial of the Gospel of Christ, on May 13th, 2000, the late Pope, John Paul II, endorsed the identity and origin of the vision of Mary of Fatima, which in truth was a “lying wonder.” He proclaimed, |

Great Sermon! Paul - I respect what experience you have from the Belfast Pride witness yet I don't believe that this is always accurate. What about the gospel being a savour of life unto life OR death unto death ? A recent witness at Pride in Wigan brought this report: Around a dozen Christians went along to witness. The police requested that we move beyond where the stalls were erected, which we did, knowing that the people would come to where we were to argue. This they did. For several hours we were engaged in intense debate with mostly young people, a large percentage of them being young girls.
There were a number who were insistent that they were Christian. We showed them from the Scriptures that this could not be. Unusually, there were some who listened to what was being said. One saw a number of heads go down. Some requested tracts.
Periodically, older people, who seemed to be in charge, came several times and urged the youngsters to come away from us, but they were back again in no time.
Towards the end, a number of young people came up and
asked questions of those who were still witnessing and listened while appropriate portions of the Bible were read out.As the last Christian was leaving, one of the organisers came up and told him that we had ruined their day.
