Great Sermon! Good! Really good.
Thank you pastor Graham Anderson. God has blessed me through your preaching. May he, and he will, bless all other hearers.
Great Sermon! The multitudes were brought to the great physician, Jesus Christ, and they were healed. Has he stopped healing the sick? Will the sick learn of the coming judgment in the house of merriment? Or, is COVID to do what 911 did not? Will we recover? Or are we to look for a greater disaster. We should be evangelizing more than ever before to lepers because the Christian has no continuing city, so why live as though this earth is home? We've already passed from death unto life. Who wants to stay in this world of complaints about things gone awry every day?
Great Sermon! Heart stirring.
What an inheritance believer has been given! What more can we ask for? Seeking our Lord’s face causes the cup to run over in abundance and the oil to run into the lives of others. The knowledge of Jesus is the gift we keep receiving. There is nothing more valuable, more precious, more beautiful, more pleasurable, or more necessary in times like these than to see the one who died on Calvary; and rose from the dead. Who could ask for anything more than to see his face? What desire is more wholesome than to seek his favor, his pleasure, his presence? We have beheld his glory and he is precious.
Great Sermon! Thank you pastor Tomassian. This message provided answers for me specifically and my daughter, incidentally.
I also want to thank McCausland for posting. McCausland, I have trusted your input about many messages and have been encouraged in ways that only God knows. It began years ago when I listened to, I believe, your pastor Chalan Hetherington. He has nourished my soul. May God bless you both.
Neil wrote: So far as I know, he's as real as any other preachers with Internet presence. But see for yourself and look him up. Seems sound to me. Normally I cringe when I hear preachers allude to Gnosticism, which many carelessly attribute to ideas they don't like, but here, he may be onto something. I might label it "solipsism." In a recent YouTube he discusses his experience working with "white" churches striving for racial reconciliation, while "black" churches consider him some sort of traitor for "fraternizing" like this. Depressing.
These people are just churchgoers and need to be converted. We need to stop rationalizing these matters. Faith without works is dead. What is it so hard about "believers" loving a brother in Christ? Well, these churchgoers are men of flesh. They need to be converted. It is impossible to be a separatist (from another follower of Christ) and a Christian. Impossible. Impossible. The only people we are to separate from are willful, unrepentant sinners, and the unruly. Reconciliation comes with conversion. Love God & your neighbor as yourself. But your unconverted neighbor cannot be closer than your fellow believer. Christians have beheld the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Churchgoers are blind and dead.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness (of any thing) that (is )in heaven above, or that (is)in the earth beneath, or that (is) in the water under the earth: (Exod. 20:4).
We just turn a blind eye to a holy God and rationalize our use of images.
Great Sermon! I am convinced now more than ever before that the anti-Christ is one who professes to be a believer of Christ, believes in Christ, and relies upon Christ the person of Christ and the work Christ did on behalf of man and God. Yet he talks more often about fallen men and their deeds. The result is that we compare ourselves with man which makes us self-righteous instead of being humbled by the knowledge we have of Christ. I believe the Ten Commandments sums up what man is unable to do and why Christ came; if we lift him up. There are enough wolves in the pulpits today destroying sheep by distorting God's Word and changing the nature and character of Christ we should be warned about. The Word of God talks about them and how to avoid deceit. It warns us of the Spirit of this present age. If Obama claimed to be pastor/preacher of God's word, I could see why we should be warned. Every person who has heard of Christ and denies what he has heard is anti-Christ. Not just Obama.Pulpits are filled with pastors who become political and compare politicians and other public figures to suit their own agenda.Christ is our agenda. His spirit will give us discernment about the path we should take. Moralism does not save.
Great Sermon! Its about preparing to meet God in these times of afflictions of all kinds. During these times it is also about proper nutrition. This pastor is suggesting one part each for our daily bread from Psalms, Proverbs, John, and Romans early in the morning.
Thank you Scott.
