[25] The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the Lord thy God.
When I left the Roman Catholic Church, I threw out (in the regular garbage) my 18 carat gold chain with medallion of "Mary with a baby" based on this scripture. It was my costly infant baptism gift from my godfather. My parents figured that I went totally insane and got brainwashed by some cult. Why wouldn't I sell it was the question. Well, not to cause another person to stumble. Don't covet the gold and silver on them! The command is pretty clear. And ... Don't covet money locked in your movies! Awesome research. Praise God.
“ Wonderful! ” Thank you! I wish Martin Luther, in his time, had such wisdom and approach to the Word of God. He wouldn't have believed the popish idea of "real presence."
“ Great Sermon! ” Pastor Cooley, you are developing this introspective touch that John Bunyan had. As I read his wonderful booklet (Christian Behaviour Being the Fruit of Real Christianity), and as I am listening to this sermon, I see this great similarity of perspectives. Your teaching as well as Bunyan's writing are searching the depths of the listeners and causing us to examine ourselves. Keep up! Thank you.
“ Christian Literature - tracks ” I ment to email asking so many times... Pls POST a disTributor of good Christian tracks. “ Problems! Problems! ” I am surprised that the comment of Lie a Detector (below under this sermon) got posted. He/she is a disinformation agent with double forked tongue. Please delete the comment. It's full of heresies that you and your church stand against. Pls read it in its entirety, and you will see at least 3 very serious doctrinal issues.
“ Hard to rationalize with your facts, but... ” This is a true message, but it's impossible to rationalize with believers and unbelievers alike due to the first miracle of Jesus in Cana of Galilee. I have tried, and every single time this miracle was immediately brought up. Next argument is the advice of Paul to Timothy regarding drinking wine for his stomach troubles.
“ Amen and amen ” Praise the Lord God Almighty! Thank you Pastor Cooley. I never thought I will live to hear preaching like this. The Lord is faithful. Glory to His name now and forever.
“ I thank the Lord for you ” The Lord be praised forever, amen. Thank you bother Cooley for your preaching. Thank you for exposing all these evils for our good and for His glory. The Lord bless you and keep you safe in these last days.
“ I should be offended ” If you were not my dear brother in Christ, I guess, I would be offended. I am of polish origins, and you are about the first one in my life on this continent to actually refer publicly to Polish people as POLAKS. Wow, that is sooo derogatory, but I had a laugh. I guess, I will easily persuade my unsaved son to listen to you just to hear that. Hehehe.
“ Great Sermon! ” I am positive that one of the reasons for the opposition of other pastors against you is that they can clearly see and feel your Holy Spirit anointing. If they can't, at least the devils in them can.
“ Great Sermon! ” When I listen to pastor Cooley, I often have a feeling that one of the faithful witnesses of Revelation 11:3 is here, but I realize that we are not in that exact time yet and pastor Cooley is (probably) not wearing a sackcloth :) God bless you!

“ Great Sermon! ” Thank you for mentioning/recommending The History of Protestantism by Wylie. I have close 800 pages before me (downloaded as pdf). Every born again Christian should read it for edification and information. From what I see, it makes a wonderful companion to The Foxe's Book of Martyrs.

“ wonderful truth ” I agree 100%, but it is too late for my son. All bad you said happened. All I do now is repent and cry to the Lord to perform Joel 2:25 in His infinite, sovereign grace and mercy. What a warning! Ladies, please listen if you don't want to see your children live and/or die in sins. The Lord will forgive, but it is more difficult to forgive ourselves when we know that we are the ones who are guilty.
“ Great Show ” Thank you for taking up this topic. It was all so informative! While you talked about the images and charged objects, I just couldn't help but thought about the frequent apparitions of "Mary" who is calling on the whole world to worship the Eucharistic "christ". The book Another Jesus by R. Oakland deals with that and so does the book Vatican Assassins by Phelps.
