Chrisgp from England wrote: Yes, the church should pray. Amen, and the individual prayers of God's people are not less effective than the corporate prayers. The effectual, fervent prayer of a (one) righteous man availeth much. |

Adriel wrote: The true Church, the body of Christ will survive throughout all ages as God has written. Yes, it is true. Ultimately, there is but one church in the world today, described as the body of Christ. To man's eyes seemingly fragmented, but God sees his people all over the world, some churched, some unchurched, some wrongly churched, but all of them redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, having the seal of the Spirit and the testimony of adoption. |

It is a sensible warning, maybe even prophetic. Christians all over America who are fence-sitters need to heed these words and vote accordingly. That is my opinion, and I am sticking to it. |

Colin wrote: I go to clinics at least twice a week to preach the gospel. Ephesians 5 clearly says ‘do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness but instead even expose them’. Thank you Colin for your comment.Ephesians 5:11 KJV (11) And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. Albert Barnes says: "But rather reprove them - By your life, your conversation, and all your influence. This is the business of Christians. Their lives should be a standing rebuke of a sinful world, and they should be ever ready to express their disapprobation of its wickedness in every form." Adam Clarke has: "Rather reprove them - Bear a testimony against them; convince them that they are wrong; confute them in their vain reasons; reprove them for their vices, which are flagrant, while pretending to superior illumination. All these meanings has the Greek word ελεγχω, which we generally render to convince or reprove." |

Michael Hranek wrote: To be clear, Yes! my words were intended to be forceful because life and death are at stake and empty talk is death, dead and useless, the applause of the self-righteousness in their doing nothing. Brother Michael! Really!Who are you accusing and censuring, saying that empty talk is death, dead and useless? Hmmmmmm? Who are you accusing and censuring, talking about the self-righteous who are doing nothing? Hmmmmmm? And now you want me to cease. How about owning up to censuring others? Who is talking empty talk? Who is useless? Who is self-righteous? Who is doing nothing? If you cannot answer these questions, your words are farcical and nonsensical, a mere beating the air, venting your frustrations. Why attack me, your friend? What did I do to you? And why are you trying to get everyone who reads these posts to join your unbiblical crusade to pitch up outside abortion clinics as though you were obeying the great commission, even though you can't find anything similar in the Acts of the Apostles which might warrant your action? Bro, if I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times: "Back to the Bible!" Do not permit the devil to pull a fast one on you. |

Noname wrote: John, consider this, what are you arguing for? Why can’t he share the gospel at “murder dens” if he feels called too? NoName, far be it from me to censure anyone for doing what they believe the Lord has called them to do.However, if you go through the thread, you will find that Michael my dear brother whom I love in the Lord, is censuring all and any who are not doing what he is doing, referring to them all as self-righteous good-for-nothing Christians, who are not obeying the great commission, and that, without any proof at all, it is mere speculation. So, NoName, if you do not pitch up outside your local abortion centre, and try to preach the gospel to everyone going in, you also will come in for Michael's wrath, who desires all Christians to follow his example and lead. But I argue for sola scriptura, and the regulative principle, without which, anything goes in the Christian life, because it is not regulated by the word of God. Besides which, if Michael would care to preach to these fornicating women before they become fornicating women, salvation would make them a new creature in Christ, and you would never see them attending an abortion clinic. |

Frank wrote: Good morning brother! Not good news - agree. Gospel is good news - agree. And now for some of my rambling. As prophesied, the world is drawing further and further away from Christianity. Only Christianity can give someone true purpose. For those that think fame and wealth give purpose, just look at Hollywood and the amount of drug/alcohol addiction, adultery and divorces in that community. Without purpose, one of the alternatives would be drug usage. I have never taken drugs, but surely it would temporarily remove any anxiety, depression or lack of purpose. IMO, nothing can change the use of drugs to make life easier except coming to the Lord and Savior. Ideally in Christ all things work for our good and for His glory. And He of course will give us purpose. Amen and amen. Brother, I can assure you that your speculation is spot on, and that the temporal effects of any drug bear no comparison to the immense high and joyful euphoria from coming to Christ and being saved and filled with the Spirit of God. It is "joy unspeakable and full of glory" as the Bible describes it. |

Michael Hranek wrote: Matthew 28:18-20 Brother Michael, your answer to my question concerning a NT warrant for picketing an abortion centre is Matthew 28:18-20.This GREAT commission to take the gospel to all men, making disciples, and teaching them to observe all things Jesus taught his disciples, was given just before Jesus ascended into heaven, from where he poured out the Spirit to enable his disciples to obey the commission. Now Michael, can you please show me from the Acts of the Apostles, any example where the apostles imagined that the GREAT commission included picketing booze factories, quack doctors who could abort your baby, brothels, and just about any other evil under the sun? Thank you. Keep up with this, and you are likely to get back to doing what you ought to be doing, namely, getting the gospel out to the whole world and encouraging others to do the same. This is the ONLY reason the church is left on the earth. |

Michael Hranek wrote: Take the Bible all of what God speaks to us in it seriously If you do, if anyone does it will convict us to act, to act upon His word and even allow a man to understand the difference between a man pleading with his brothers and sister regarding a serious matter and commanding them what to do or not do....the applause of the self-righteousness in their doing nothing. Brother Michael, can you please give me a NT warrant for doing what you are doing and encouraging others to do?p.s. as far as I am concerned you yourself are distracted from the GREAT commission, which is to take the gospel into all the world, to every creature. When a woman is saved and in her right mind, you will not find her attending an abortion clinic. The GREAT command of Jesus in the NT is simple to find and simple to obey. But you say, "No, I will do mine own thing, I will not have this Man to reign over me." The next thing is: what has this statement to do with me, bro? "...the applause of the self-righteousness in their doing nothing." Please do not shy away from answering. If you think I am a good-for-nothing Christian, just come right out with it. Revival often begins with straight talking. |

Michael Hranek wrote: Brother John No! You cannot be serious. Oh but I am serious, Brother Michael. And you ought to know that the head of the man is Christ. NOT another man. Whatever the Lord (as my head) calls me to do, that is what I will do. And I will not be distracted by any man who dares to tell me what to do, thusly taking me away from serving the Lord who alone gives me my marching orders. I do hope you get my drift and cease condemning others for not doing what you may or may not be called to do yourself. Always with the love of Christ. Do not forget that, bro. You are getting far too cynical in your latter years. And I am still very saddened by the trials of life which you have had to endure, which have had such an effect on your mind and spirit. |

The Quiet Christian wrote: Remarkable how politics twist the view of the Bible. Yes indeed, Quiet Brother. The Bible is what God says, it is the word of God. People ignore it at their peril. They are especially without excuse who possess a Bible. |

Frank wrote: Yes brother, a very good analogy! The only part of the below that a feminist and so many men and women, in the body of Christ intentionally compartmentalize is the head of the woman is man. Why do they do this? Because they believe that makes them of less value than a man and of course that is really silly. The below has nothing to do with value or worth otherwise Christ is not also God. Eve wanted to be relevant in ways that were not according to God's design. 1 Corinthians 11:3 “But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.” |
