If as you said, Protestants give exclusive rights to the mother and the Roman Catholic Church to the fetus: Must a Catholic woman keep an ectopic pregnancy despite an extremely high risk of maternal mortality and zero chance of the child's survival? That is, does the Catholic Church leave women with ectopic pregnancies to die? Thank you for clarifying these very important issues.

“ Romans 1:18 ” Romans 1:18 says For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Ro 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Which is saying the wrath of God is revealed to them that hold truth in unrighteousness. We as humans have the law of God in our conscience, so if we do what we know through our conscience and worship God as the creator of the universe, it is the same as the old testament saints. But if we know of Christ and can read his teaching we are without excuse because we hold the truth. To learn more read and study the book of Romans. Its all in there.

“ Great Sermon! ” After extensive study on the dating of Jesus death we find a little confusion in the Gospels. Here is how it works out. The Jewish day begins at 6:00 PM the previous day. So if we are saying a Jewish Friday then it begins at 6:00 PM Thursday. Passover (Nisan 14) of the year of Jesus death was a Thursday, therefore it started at 6:00 PM Wednesday. Jesus had to be removed from the cross before Passover began. The last supper was actually at the beginning of preparation day, after 6:00PM Tuesday. Jesus stated that He wanted to have Passover meal with the disciples, not that He did. He was the Passover Lamb. Next Passover is a high Holy day, as well as the first day of the week of unleavened bread that begins the next day, Friday, and is considered a Sabbath day. Saturday, of course is always a Sabbath day. Jesus resurrected sometime after 6:00PM Saturday, which would be Sunday. That is three nights and three days.
I pray this helps any confusion. However as Dr. Cairns says, what is really important is that His blood washed away our sins so that we may stand before God.
“ Great Sermon! ” I am glad to know that Dr. Cairns is honest with the scriptures and will not accept the Catholic teaching about the death of Christ. He is correct is his position. Christ kept the Jewish Passover on Tuesday night, (Nisan 14) was crucified on Wednesday and came forth from the grave some time after 6pm on Saturday, which was the beginning of the new week, according to Jewish time.
“ Adding for the hopes of edification... ” I have something to mention about the water baptism of Jesus. There are some peculiarities in this area of Scripture I have considered also regarding the subject. To begin, consider what was said in Heb.7:11-19 speaking of a changing of the priesthood in vs.12. John the baptizer was of the line of Aaron, and thus according to the law, could qualify as a priest. With this in mind, remember the statement about unloosing Christ's shoe's latchet. Also there is a description in Ruth about the plucking off of the shoe as a testimony (Ruth4:7). Could this washing be cerimonially pertaining to the priesthood being changed? Did not the priest's partake in cerimonial washings (Heb.9:10; Ex.29:4, etc.)? Would this be considered of the like? Jesus Christ needed no repentance, but was alltogether unspotted.
Another thing I have noticed in John 17:17-19, was that in vs.19 Jesus mentions in His prayer to the Father, that He/I...sactify Myself, that they also may be sactified by the truth...
Being that He was Holy and without blemish, could this be a reference to Him taking upon Himself our sins, and thus like explained in Gal3:13 being made a curse for us: subsequently being made Holy by the resurrection from the dead?See also Rm4:25&7:4&10:17;Gal3:2 Thank you for your work in the Lord!
“ Adding for the hopes of edification... ” There is also something I learned about the verse: 2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
That word "sin" in the phrase "...made Him to be sin for us..." is in the original language, Greek, for the New Testament. I learned that the same word in the Old Testament Greek (LXX) is translated "sin offering" in the KJV, of the same verse, which uses the Masoretic Hebrew. This can be utilized to better understand Christ's role as a "sin offering", thus minimizing confusions that may come up with the wording "...He was made to be sin...". It has help me, so maybe others can be help with this also. An example of this is as follows:
Exo 29:36 And thou shalt offer every day a bullock for a sin offering for atonement: and thou shalt cleanse the altar, when thou hast made an atonement for it, and thou shalt anoint it, to sanctify it.

“ Controversal! ” Regardless of personal practices, I believe that we should teach explicitly what the Bible teaches. If you tithe, do you give the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd tithe or just 10%? If we give In Accordance to how God has blessed us then we will usually give more than the false teaching of just 10%. Give of the first fruits and give in accordance with your blessings, not just out of your blessings.
Conflicting messages are always sent when we teach one thing and practice another regardless of our motives.
“ Great Sermon! ” Amen! If there were ever a gift of healing or healers who had such a gift then why did Paul instruct people to call the ELDERS to PRAY over a sick person, rather than call the healers/those gifted with healing? Pastor Cairns is correct.
“ Well Put! ” Rock music was born of rebellion and communicates rebellion. It might even have been a product of apostasy, if one were to trace its roots to the turn of the 20th century.
Whatever the case, the horses mouths of rock and roll (IE the rock stars , producers, promoters etc)have always maintained its rebellious, sexual and in some cases admittedly pagan or occultic nature. But the "wise" Christians of the post modern era have managed to apologetically rationalize the horses mouths away. For every sound principle that the dtractors of rock and roll put forth, there is a carefully crafted and rationalized defense for its usage in the church. And it is sad to see how it has infected Calvinistic churches as well. How I long for period of true revival, where the extraordinary movement of the Spirit will not only sweep many into the kingdom but will open the eyes of undiscerning Christians to what they have allowed to dwell in Christ's holy church. Maybe then we will see the end of rock and roll in the church.
“ Good ” This sermon begins halfway thru; the first part is mostly radio programming with some very good music. Then Mr. Cairns comes on after that. The sermon is really on the topic of meekness, not on waiting on the Lord. I expected a sermon about waiting on God for answers to prayer, but it is instead about trusting God in all circumstances and being submissive to His will, and meek at all times with all people. He discusses how people view meekness as weakness, but it is actually the strength of faith (in God). He also point out how Jesus was the meekest person in all the earth yet not at all weak, for He rebuked the Pharisees and drove the moneychangers out of the temple with a whip: Jesus was zealous for the things of God yet meek towards God. Meekness also means a gentle and quiet, humble spirit, with patience. All the very things which today's world and this country despise.
