All the information you need! Impossible to change your mind?
As an ex-drunkard I have never met a converted drunkard who is then into 'social' drinking for he never forgets the dangers of this drug even in its shortest measure and how easy it can abuse even in supposed moderation! Who can define 'moderation' with regards to today's alcoholic beverages that are a far cry from the bible versions? Just one drink can cause drunkeness for some and that is a plain fact.
I implore christian brethren and sisters to listen to this excellent message with first a prayerful heart and a teachable meek spirit. This warning though in small writing is that, by grace, it will probably change your mind forever-so take heed!
What you've said is spot on. I commend particularly the message on DVD or YouTube by Richard Bennett 'The Biblical Uncovering of The Pope and The Papacy. Romans 1 v 16
Great Sermon! Wonderful sermon! I pray many will come to learn of this glorious history of the Covenanting Church! Thank you for sharing this sermon with others.
Outstanding series! I highly recommend this series, which focuses on a doctrine not rarely heard these days, sin. Solid teaching on the sin nature is hard to come by, making this series important because it is very well done. The doctrine of sin is important because without believing in sin, there's no need for salvation because no one has done anything wrong. But a look at the world today shows that sin is real, and salvation is needed, and the only savior is Jesus Christ.
Their gobbledygook is online, too... This series on Mormonism has many quotes from the Mormons' own primary sources, which are online at http://scriptures.lds.org/en/ and the word gobbledygook really sums it up. I'd never read any of their material, and was surprised at how it's nothing but religious-sounding gibberish. No one could even compare it to the Bible. This series on the Mormons ought to be a wakeup call to anyone caught up in, or thinking about, those beliefs.
Informative series! This is a well-researched, informative series on Mormon beliefs. Many of the items I had never heard before. I recommend that Christians listen to this and be informed about this belief system. I also recommend Mormons listen to this and look up the references in Mormon materials and see for yourself if this is a belief you want to be part of.
Penetrating Sermon I listened to this sermon whilst being laid low with illness and not being able to attend the means of grace. God in His wisdom has allowed me to hear this sermon which is biblical, reformed and searching. I may not share fully the view given on the well meant offer of the gospel but both the exposition of the passage in question and the penetrating application provided have challenged and stirred me. I thank God that I heard this sermon and I encourage many including those who need challenged about the wordliness they face and the standard God requires to give this sermon their full attention.
Great Sermon! This really encouraged me as I was feeling somewhat downhearted about a project I am involved in. Thank you for sharing the Lord's love and concern about small things which come to fruition in His hands.
A Treasure on SermonAudio Hard to describe this series without using superlatives - it's a treasure on SermonAudio - an in-depth look at the Covenanting period. Christians should listen to this series to learn what Christians have endured in the past and what the faith meant to them. This past is becoming forgotten. It's humbling to see the price these Christians paid; and what their sacrifice has come to today.
Fantastic Sermon!!! This is a timely and OUTSTANDING message. I was immensely blessed by hearing this edifying, encouraging, and courageous sermon. If there was ever a message that today's church was in need of, it is this one! May God blessed this servant of God for taking on the "church growth" issue.
(The Real) Plain Truth! This series has the real "plain truth" - I had not heard the name of The Plain Truth magazine since I was a child in the 1980s - a local department store used to have a rack at the door - I did not know it was cult literature. Probably no one did. I didn't really know what it was.
Great Sermon! This is high-quality information. I benefitted from learning about the origins of the SDA movement, because I knew little about it. Christians should keep this series in their libraries.
Great Sermon! This is worth carefull attention and would be a great help to evaluate 'our' own personal evangelistic 'techniques' in the light of the Word of God. It might well help explain why 'our' own personal converts sometimes do not cut the mustard and backslide continually from day one(!?) or saoon fall away completely(?), or worse still- ever living in perpetual sin- yet clinging to some distant past, vain repetition, manufactured sinners prayer (false gospel?), BUT NO REAL saving experience and living reality of Jesus Christ.
Could the serious fault dare I say be that of our own making in a day of easy believism? Consider the consequences of preaching any watered down gospel- another gospel...a terrifying thought for both preacher and hearer so consequently deluded.
It is always wise and good to examine our very own selves first ... II Corinthians 13: 5. Can we 'evangelicals' be so seriously mistaken?
Great Sermon! Wonderful tribute, is this the same Hillis that I served with in R.U.C during 1958 before I joined the Met.in London.I had a wonderful letter from him about 1959 when he turned to Christ and put me in the right direction ?
