1. Love for Christ has grown cold when strong convictions become a substitute for strong devotion. a. They had strong convitions about the need to labor in the work of God. b. They had strong convictions about Biblical orthodoxy. c. They had srong convictions about being faithful to Christ.
But in spite of their hard work, their orhtodoxy and their faithfulness, their love for Christ had grown cold.
2. Love for Christ does not TURN cold but GROWS cold.
3. When love for Christ has grown cold, there is only one remedy. a. Recognize that you've fallen b. Remember how you used to be. c. Repent of all that has brought you to this sad state. d. Return -- "do the first works"
