SERMON INFO
The sin of leaving our first love is an extremely prevalent one. Loveless Christians and loveless churches are all too common.....

Christ, the sole King and only Head of his church has an answer to this epidemic:

Would we have our first love restored? the answer involves:

1. Thoughtful remembrance.

(i) Remember your first love to Christ: your devotion, your desire, you delight in Him.

(ii) Remember the place where you left your first love - Mary and Joseph had to retrace their steps to finds the Christ they left.

(iii) Remember the misery this sin has cost you -

2. Truthful repentance.

Repentance is not just for the unconverted - it is for those who have left their first love.

(i) repent personally.

(ii) repent precisely - carry the very sin to God. Be honest enough to confess the sin that has come between you and your God.

(iii) repent promptly - now!

3. Thorough reformation.

Do the first works - get back to where you where: Stand in the way and ask for the old paths.
