SERMON INFO
It was a crisis time. The disciples (some of them very experienced men at sea), were toiling in rowing as the wind was contrary unto them. But the Lord came and calmed the wind.

Notice that the disciples were experiencing this crisis even though they were going forward in God`s Will, for the Lord had told them to go to the other side.

Maybe you are an experienced Christian of many years, walking in the will of God, and a storm or crisis has come into your life - or maybe you are just starting out on the Christian path and have encountered a crisis in your life. By examining this passage, you can learn much and receive great comfort and blessing.

Rev Elliott looks at this account under three main headings:

1. The Severe Difficulty The Disciples Encountered

2. The Stunning Deliverance They Experienced

a) The Occurence of it
b) The Outcome Of It

3. The Sad Defect They Exhibited

Mark 6:

45 And straightway He constrained His disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while He sent away the people.

49 But when they saw Him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:

50 For they all saw Him, and were troubled. And immediately He talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.

51 And He went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
