The Anglican Church of Ireland made a submission in the last week of April 2005 to a Committee of the Irish Republic Parliament dealing with changes which might be made in the Republic of Ireland Constititution in sections dealing with the family. In their submission the C of I suggested that cohabiting couples and sodomite couples should have recognition in the constitution. The whole affair raises issues about sodomy and liberalism and how we regard the Scriptures.
