SERMON INFO
Benhadad attacked Samaria again. This time the city was put under seige and the people were starving. In the midst of this we read of four lepers who were living outside the walls of the city because of their ceremonial uncleanness who decided that rather than die of hunger they should take their chances in the Syrian camp and go down and see if they would give them any food. When they went they made a remarkable discovery of the sovereign and delivering and saving power of almighty God. It is my prayer that we too will make a fresh discovery of the sovereign and delivering and saving power of Almighty God. The discovered that God had provided all they needed. But as they partook they said, 'This day is a day of good tidings and we hold our peace.' There were people dying behind the walls of Samaria, God had provided salvation but they needed to be told. This may be a day of spiritual dearth and famine but we can be sure that God has lost none of His ancient power and He is still as powerful to save today as He has ever been but we need to tell others the good tidings.
