Another distinctive of the Free Presbyterian Church is that of being a Sanctified/Separated Church.
These two terms are often joined together in the Scriptures.
This distinctive deals with old fashioned holiness of life which has always been the feature of Biblical Christianity. Not entire sanctification but progressive sanctification.
Inward holiness is another name for sanctification. Sanctification is the work of God's Holy Spirit within a genuine believer whereby they are: renewed in the whole man after the image of God, and are enabled more and more to die unto sin, and live unto righteousness, Shorter Cat. 35. |
