Calvinism sometimes comes under fire for not being evangelistic. If we think God is indifferent to the plight of sinners it makes it easy for the Christian to become indifferent also. In Rom. 9, however, we see that in a passage that emphasizes the truth of God's sovereignty in salvation - Paul's burden for his kinsmen in the flesh was strengthened not weakened.
