In this Psalm we see our Redeemer as the morning deer coming forth to feed. The O.T. Scriptures gave early glimpses of the Messiah. O.T. believers fed on those first sightings of their promised Redeemer. In the fullness of thime Simeon, Anna, and Zacharias rejoiced in them, as did Elizabeth and Mary. This Psalm opens up two duties:
1. The redeemer's atoning death for His church v 1 - 21
2. The Church's song of delight in that redemption v 22 - 31.
