SERMON INFO
Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south?

This text contains a reference to the winter migration of one particular bird - the hawk. It is not the only bird that does so as winter approaches but the Lord uses the hawk as a visual aid to teach Job an important spiritual truth.

God asks Job: does the hawk fly south at his, or by any other man's, command or instruction? Does Job, or some other person, tell the hawk that winter in approaching and it is time to migrate to warmer climes?

Job learned the God of heaven not only created the world but also superintends it by His providence. He guides and directs the animal creation. He is vastly superior to His creation.

We want to consider the hawk migrating and seek to understand some important spiritual lessons that can be gleaned from this text. God's creation is God's picture garden illustrating and reinforcing spiritual truth.
