SERMON INFO
Hell is full of people who did not actively oppose Jesus Christ in their conduct or conversation, but who simply drifted into damnation by neglecting to respond to the gospel!

This fearful fact is borne out by the statements of the early chapters of Hebrews.

• No commands are issued in Hebrews chapter 1. The whole chapter is a declaration and celebration of God's final word to the world – Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Chapter 2 is built directly on Chapter 1 - a fact immediately apparent because of the insertion of the connecting word "therefore" at the beginning (2:1).

Because God has communicated a vital message to us through His almighty Son (1:1-3), ...

... “Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip ... .”

The key question is ... are we listening?!

1. The PORTRAIT of drifting;
2. The PARTICULARS about drifting;
3. The PERSUASION against drifting ...

... are explored in this message.
