SERMON INFO
Motto Text - The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms… Deut 33:27.

Moses, like Jacob before him, blesses the twelve tribes of Israel before he dies. This blessing of the tribes is pronounced within the context of the God, whose they are and whom they serve.
Moses commences this chapter with a testimony of who the Lord is and what He has done for the people of God. There is particular reference to the giving of the Law in such a glorious fashion, v1-5.

Moses then proceeds to bless the twelve tribes individually. Having done so he returns to the greatness of their God and the privilege that Israel undoubtedly have in being His peculiar people.

The concluding verses of this chapter contain strong intimations of what God was unto the people of Israel in general, and of what He had done and would He would do for them in the future.

These intimations of God's strength and resolve towards them are given to assure them of future happiness, no matter what might come to pass, v29 Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD….

These words highlight that happy condition
