All books of the Bible are in perfect harmony.
Everything you need to now is found in this book.
This is the only book written by God. It is the only
book that can give life. At the time of the
Reformation, the scripture was written and spoken in
Latin. The word of God was restricted to the pope and
the priest. Jeremiah 36 is a microcosm of the entire
    Bible

    1. publication of God's word (1-2)
Take what God has spoken and write it down. It
needed to be written down so it could be passed on.
These were God's words. The printing press allowed
people to read Luther's 95 theses.

    2. purpose of God's word (3)
It may be.... There is a warning. Great is the fury
he says later on (7). How can you escape the
damnation of hell? God gives the warning so people
may repent. The Pharisee saw no need for repentance,
but the publican did. God desires to forgive but
there is no forgiveness without repentance.

    3. proclamation of God's word (4-6)
Therefore, go...It is proclaimed in the Lord's
house. We cannot assume people that come to church
are saved. It was proclaimed to the king (21).

    4. pardoning in God's word (7a)
When they return, God will pardon. The way of escape
is not by praying the rosary.

    5. punishment in God's word (7b)
Fury is for sure. Purgatory is an illusion

    6. perseverance of God's word (23-31)
The king burned the Word. God told Jeremiah to write
it again. God is giving them a second chance. God
    perseveres with sinful people.

    7. perpetuity of God's word (32)
And there were added besides unto them many like
words. The grass withers and the flower fades but
God's word remains forever. The king could not stop
    God's word.
