There is one particular, very special, blessing that belongs, solely, to those who know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. It is the infinite blessing of knowing the abiding presence of God.
This special privilege of having the Lord's abiding presence is, for example, outlined very clearly in a conversation recorded in the Scriptures between the Saviour and Judas, who was not Iscariot, cf. John 14:21-23: He that hath my commandments, and them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Here is the great and precious promise that the Triune God of heaven will come and manifest Himself unto that individual believer and that God Himself will take up His abode with those who know and love God.
The word 'manifest' suggests something open and genuine. It is actually the word we get our English word 'information' from. True information is a fact that is accurate and reliable.
God's presence with His believing people is something real and genuine. This is not a nice theory or the figment of someone's imagination that disappears the first sign of it being tested. God Himself is the friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
