In the library at Prague a trio of medallions that date back to 1572 are on display.
- The first contains the figure of John Wycliffe striking sparks from a stone;
- the second John Huss kindling a fire from the sparks;
- and the third Martin Luther holding high a flaming torch.
These medallions tell in a symbolic way the story of the Protestant Reformation as it commenced, continued, and crystallised under the touch of an Englishman, a Bohemian, and a German.
This message charts the life and times of this phenomenal “Pre-Reformation Reformer,” John Huss, on the 600th Anniversary of his martyrdom at the cruel hands of the Roman Catholic Church.
