Thank you for standing for the truth, the “”rapture” is a poor interpretation of the Bible. Bible teaches things will wax worse and worse and it clear states to watch and be ready and at the last day Jesus will raise us up after those in the that in the graves. I guess my only question is where do we go when we die? Does our spirit return to the Lord and wait for the bodily resurrection? Thank you

John the Baptist is not the first picture of repentance. God grants repentance Romans 2:4 No man can repent with out God 2 Corinthians 7:10 Israel did not repent at the preaching of John the Baptist.

“ Controversial topic ”
Only thing to keep you out of heaven not being born again... John 3:3-5 Jesus spoke it clearly we need the Holy Ghost baptism, not water baptism. If someone leaves the faith the person should consider if they had true saving faith. Unbelief in Jesus Christ will keep you out of heaven... study dispensations and who is writing to who or is it showing history this is a Jewish book remember John was the last gospel written last besides revelation,, John said WHOSEVER will believeth will not perish but have eternal life.. easily said and understood. Satan always tries to get you to doubt God bless brothers

To be honest brother. You sound ignorant of the things you talk about. I support you work, but like my other “white” brothers in Christ is that you are blind to the sins of our nation. This “Farher of our fathers” romancing of American history is disheartening

“ 'I kill and I make alive' ”
The deliberate taking away of life (killing) under the kind of conditions and situations mentioned in this video clip (rare as they are) is still the sole right of GOD. Nowhere does GOD ever give this right to any man (under these situations. Capital punishment is different). We are not "gods" and we cannot play "God" even in exceptional cases. We cannot do evil that good may come. Let GOD be GOD. He knows best, judges most righteously and works sovereignly. His command to us in this regard is "thou shalt not kill." We dare not make of none effect the Word of the Almighty, All-Wise God. Obedience is always better than sacrifice in His sight. (oh, and by the way, I am not a Romanist- I am a Protestant Christian!)

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Seem that God has given a much broader invitation than some like to admit.

Can, not should, but Can a Mormon be President?

Perhaps we ought to ask the question would Almighty God give to a wicked, ungodly and rebellious people who despise the God of the Bible would He give them an individual who fulfills their desire to have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof?

That is very much a possibility as God tells us that He is not mocked and whatever we sow that will we reap.

Especially considering far too many "evangelical celebraties" such as Ravi Zacharias and Michael Card in the recent visit to Salt Lake City blurred the distinction of Biblical Christianity with Mormonism, after all the Mormons along with Muslims and other religions all speak of having a reverence or admiration of Jesus Christ.

Interested,
Thanks for the comment. I hope David Shakspeare will give comment to this also.

As for me I do not believe in exclusive Psalmody as some call it. However I do believe in being discerning as to both the words and the music used.

Am I perfect in this? No Way!

But even as a God fearing preacher prayerfully studies the Word of God to rightly divide it and preach it in the power and leading of the Holy Spirit so likewise I believe those called or gifted by God in the area of music can likewise prayerfully study His Word and compose hymns with Scriptural content with appropriate instrumentation that honor God in an obedient expression of the faith He reveals in Scripture.

If it is someone's conviction to not allow such expressions of faith and love for Christ in their congregations and do so out of their faith and love for Christ according to their conscience before HIm I will not argue with them. If however they do so to make themselves more holy than others I would respectfully not join with them as such human efforts to make ourselves holy detract greatly from the enormous chasm that God bridged for us in Christ through His precious shed blood.

David Shakspeare,
Just a question on your comment does that mean you don't believe in using hymns written by men such as Charles Wesley for example in worshipping God?

The reason I ask is that we are told to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and I have been puzzled by some who forbid hymns men have written. This doesn't begin to touch on how in some churches lifting up of hands is appropriate in that congregation or in another they might ask you to leave if you do such a thing out of love for God.

JD,
I haven't read through all your posts and I don't know exactly how to word this but are you having difficulty with how utterly sinful people are and yes, we most certainly inherited it through Adam, anyway are you having difficulty admitting the sinful nature we inherited from Adam without being swept up into 5 Point Calvinism's belief sinners have no ability to respond to the conviction of the Holy Spirit and to the Word of God in repentance and faith?

Don't let any dislike of Calvinism keep you from holding to what Scripture says openly and straight forward. Calvinists use many of the same words Scripture does for example election and predestination they just take them and use them in ways contrary to what the rest of Scripture says.

To open a huge can of "worms"
For example even though Eph 1 speaks clearly of being choosen in Him before the foundation of the world that in no way negates the reality God convicts sinners by the Holy Spirit and His Word and brings them to godly sorrow, repentance and faith and at the momment they trust Christ (receive Him) they are born again of the Holy Spirit (not before faith)

and it certainly does not negate John 3:16 meaning the whole world either!

Let the Lord teach you and lead you.

Polly Filla,
I will be away for most of the day but will look for your response, probably late this evening.

What you have just posted (I will check it more closely later) seems to go very much against what the Apostle John wrote by the Holy Spirit.

"My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."

not for ours (believers) only
but also for the sins of the whole world.

Just perhaps those you might call arminians aren't quite the heretics for believing this as some would make us out to be.

Polly Filla,
My heart breaks for you.
Thank you for your honest expression.
But I'd rather be hated for staying with the Word of God than to bewitched away from it for the theological systems of men.

After all is it not written,
"For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
