Yes, there are hundreds of languages which remain without a Bible translation, and instead of investing our time, money and abilities into this important work we squander our resources on producing inferior English translations to supplant the clearly excellent King James Version. How will we ever answer to God for this poor stewardship of His precious Word?

We’re not sure why so many distance themselves from this book of Luther’s. Not only is it factual as to the character of the Jews and their distortions of Scripture, but it is full of arguments which would be of use, even today, against similar distortions of both Jews and atheists. Everyone really ought to listen to this recording, and, if possible, read the book for themselves.

You've tried everything to free yourself from it; atheism, psychology, and good works, yet your guilt and shame are ever with you. There is only one who can deliver you from this horrible burden, and you must cast yourself upon Him without delay, for your case is desperate. Run to Jesus now, believing in His goodness, mercy, and power to save to the uttermost. He alone can set you free from your burden, and He will do it, for He has said "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)

Society is in a horrible, anti-Christian condition, and the church is meeting with much opposition. But what does this really mean? It means that millions of our people are lost and on their way to hell. Complaining in the face of this reality is a sinful pastime that does no good at all. The only hope for our people is that we diligently and fervently share the gospel and beg God's blessing on our efforts. Nothing else will do.

Essential to the mortification of sin in our hearts and lives is the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. We cannot mortify sin by our own efforts to keep the law of God, but must rely on a crucified Saviour for strength and help. An outstanding conclusion to an immensely helpful sermon series.

Many turn to a Jesus of their own imagining in hope of gaining temporal benefits. They fail to see that health and material prosperity are small things compared to the great benefit which the real Jesus died to secure for His people, which is the salvation of their souls from sin. Have you sought this greatest of blessings from the real Jesus?
